John B. Cruz III is the president and CEO of the Cruz Companies, which is a third-generation family owned enterprise based in Roxbury, MA. Founded in 1948 by John “Bertie” Cruz, Jr., it has grown from two carpenters to a multi-discipline real estate company. The Cruz companies now consist of John B. Construction, Cruz Development Corporation and Cruz Management.
John B. Cruz III, has been the President and CEO since 1982. John graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology, Boston Technical High School and completed the Minority Developer’s Executive Training Program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
The Cruz Companies are responsible for landmark projects and developments across the region; Cruz Development Corporation produces well-designed homes, maintaining the highest standards of workmanship, and; Cruz Management Company, Inc., provides quality residential housing management services. In addition, Cruz is committed to building community through his charitable work and utilizing local vendors and subcontractors whenever possible.
